We haven’t seen a great good decent passable non embarassingly bad Sonic game for over a decade. Is the long drought finally over?
For weeks now, Sega has been teasing gamers with sporadic updates on an upcoming title tentatively titled Project Needlemouse. The website has been updated with everything from shadowy logos to cryptic clues and just when Sega announces they’ll spill the beans next week — the nerds seem to have beat them to it. Apparently a member of Sega’s online community has discovered that the website Sonicthehedgehog4.com was recently registered to a man named Brandon Klein, who in a roundabout way is connected to Sega’s Community Director and Online director positions.
Does the website mean anything? Who knows — but come on! Look at that logo, that’s Sonic right there. Word is that Sonic 4 will bring the spikey blue guy back to his roots in a retro outing similar to what Capcom did with Mega Man 9.
